Benjamin

The trip to the book store had been better than Ben could have hoped for; David loved it. He wanted to look at everything and found so many things that he wanted to buy; books, calendars, music, and t shirts. Ben had been saving his money for a few weeks and was able to purchase a couple of books and he was happy to know that he had managed to buy them without David realizing he'd actually bought them for him. They had also had a really good talk with Donna before her friend arrived. Ben had really connected with Donna on his previous trips and was glad that David had gotten to meet her too; they shared a love of humor so when she offered David some gay humor titles he seemed to devour them.

They spent longer than they anticipated at the store so their original plans for lunch were scrapped so that they could get home in time to meet James and Chuck who were coming over to do some gaming. They made it back to David's house with just enough time to scarf down some sandwiches, put their purchases away, and a quick make out session before the door bell rang.

"Dude, what the fuck took you so long to answer the door!" James announced. "Chuck thought you weren't home for a minute, but I knew that was Ben's dad's car in the drive."

"Come on in guys. Ben and I just finished lunch and I was cleaning the kitchen up or my mom would have had a fit." David fibbed.

"Okay, so I know you were all ready for a round of Call of Duty but look what I picked up today." James held up a copy of a new game they had all been dying to play for weeks now. "I'm ready to kick your asses."

"I don't know about that, David and I have been doing a lot of practicing lately. We might just give you a fighting chance today." Ben announced proudly. While it was true he and David had been playing a lot lately, most of their games were abandoned as they couldn't seem to concentrate on the game as they were too interested in playing with each other.

Chuck laughed. "I don't think it will matter, Ben. James always seems to beat us."

"I think Chuck has a point Ben." David said in agreement.

Their afternoon was quickly filled with laughter, jokes, profanity (mostly from James), and round after round of gaming as James continued to dominate the group with his winning streak. When it seemed like Ben was finally going to win one game, James announced he needed to leave soon. As the three stopped for a moment to look at him he managed a quick return with his controller and won the game.

"You cheated!" They all yelled.

"No. I really do need to split; I have to pick up Stephanie by 6:00. I can't help it if you all stopped playing."

Ben, David and Chuck abandoned their controllers. "We give up.
